No Doubt drummer Adrian Young says the band are unlikely to release any new material in 2009.
The ska-influenced band announced they were reuniting in November, with Gwen Stefani also hinting that they would release a new album.
However, Young said the band would continue working on fresh material while they tour, but a new release is still a long way off
“We’ve been working on a new record off and on now for a bit of time, and we’re going to continue to work on a new record next year,” he said.
“We’re going to start touring in the spring of 2009 through the summer, and we’re going to continue to work on music while we’re travelling.”
Young said that the band plans to install a mobile studio on their tour bus (spiffy!).
No Doubt hasn’ t released anything since 2001 with Rock Steady.
