Radiohead's In Rainbows - the album containing Reckoner
After the response Radiohead had with the Nude Remix Project, they’ve decided to do it again with Reckoner, a track off of In Rainbows.
The stems (bass, lead vocals, backing vocals, guitar, piano/strings and drums) from Reckoner are available on iTunes. Once you purchase them, you’re supposed to get remixin’ on GarageBand, although most programs will work. You can upload your finished remix here, and then wait till enough people vote for you so that Radiohead listens to your mix.
You can also make a widget that allows people to vote from your website, facebook or MySpace page.
It’s been a few days since they launched the contest, and so far there are 65 submitted remixes. Personally, the Diplo one sounds pretty cool - but then again, I’ve had a thing for Diplo since M.I.A.-. The Julianna Barwick remix sounds good, too, as does Flying Lotus’.
Hipster Runoff submited a remix, too. It’s not in the top 10 for now, but give it a whirl - it’s not too shabby.
